Exhibition for the European Heritage Days in 2012

For the European Heritage Days in 2012, the Museum showcased three rarely shown letters. One from Valentin Haüy, the founder of the Institute for the Blind Youth, another one from Sébastien Guillié, who was the Institute’s Director when Louis Braille became a pupil there. The last letter was written by the students of the Louis Braille school in Saint-Mandé near Paris, and sent to the actor Albert Darmont in 1902.
